Kāinga Ora took over the Winton ‘Lakeside’ development in Te Kauwhata in 2020 and required a repositioning of the proposed housing project. Our initial task was to differentiate the Lakeside community in a crowded market, and create an aspirational brand that didn’t resort to the traditional subdivision clichés.

That little fellow hiding in the logo is the mātātā, a native bird that nests in the reeds on the lake edge.
